Annual Parish Council Meetings

The Annual Meetings of the Parish Council

The Annual Meeting of the Parish Council is where the formal business of setting up the Council for the coming year takes place.

The Offices of Chair and Vice-Chair are elected from the members of the Council, the Annual Accounts are reviewed, prior to the mandatory audit, banking arrangements are confirmed and appointment of the Council's Representatives to Committees, Working Groups and various external bodies are made.

Regulation 6 of The Local Authorities and Police Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 ("the 2020 Regulations) disapplies paragraph 7 of Schedule 12 to the 1972 Act meaning there is no requirement for a parish council to hold its annual meeting until May 2021. The next Annual meeting of Coddenham Parish Council will be held in 2021.
